Muppet Word Book is an educational software program for the Apple IIe computer released in 1986 by Sunburst Communications. The game was intended for pre-schoolers, primarily using the Muppet Learning Keys keyboard. Sunburst also released four other educational Muppet programs: The Muppet Discovery Disk, Muppet Slate, Muppetville and Muppet Math.
The game had six play modes:
- Parking Lot: Help Kermit the Frog sort letters and shapes into the correct parking lot
- Elevator: Scooter matches uppercase and lowercase letters
- Pigs in Space: First Mate Piggy and Link Hogthrob match objects with their starting letter
- Circus: Gonzo shoots out of a cannon to choose which letter begins a three-letter word
- Muppet Labs: Dr. Bunsen Honeydew and Beaker choose the two letters to end a three-letter word
- Muppet Words: A free-text typing experience
