Muppet Slate is an educational word processing program for the Apple IIe computer, produced by Sunburst Communications in 1988 primarily as a tie-in with the Muppet Learning Keys keyboard. The program uses Muppet characters to guide young children through the experience of writing, revising, saving, loading and printing text.
The primary Muppet characters used in the program are Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy and Robin the Frog. The program also provides a set of pictures that children can use to illustrate their text file, which includes Fozzie Bear, Gonzo, Animal, Dr. Bunsen Honeydew, Beaker, Janice, Scooter, Sam the Eagle and Zoot.
Sunburst also produced The Muppet Discovery Disk, Muppetville, Muppet Word Book and Muppet Math for the Muppet Learning Keys.
