A young Scorpius in "Incubator"
The neural clone Harvey
Scorpius is a half-Scarran, half-Sebacean Peacekeeper commander on Farscape, introduced in the first-season episode "Nerve." He is obsessed with obtaining the secrets of wormhole technology from John Crichton.
The product of a Scarran breeding experiment, Scorpius was born to the Sebacean woman Rylani Jeema Dellos and the Scarran Wolesh. His Sebacean physiology is incompatible with the heat generated by his Scarran side, forcing him to rely on a specialized cooling suit. He also uses cooling rods inserted directly into his brain, which must be frequently replaced due to overheating.
For the first twelve years of his life, Scorpius was imprisoned aboard a Scarran vessel by Tauza, who sought to strengthen his Scarran abilities. One day, he is able to escape, defecting to the Peacekeepers and rising through their ranks.
He is given command of a Gammak Base, where he discovers that Crichton possesses secret wormhole knowledge embedded in his brain by the Ancients. In his relentless pursuit of this information, Scorpius creates a neural clone of himself to infiltrate Crichton's subconscious, later named "Harvey."
Scorpius' obsession with wormhole technology eventually causes friction with his Peacekeeper superiors, and the destruction of his command carrier at the hands of the Moya crew results in his disgrace.
In season four's "Sacrifice," he is interrogated in his own Aurora Chair by Commandant Grayza, who orders his execution. He ultimately survives, and after saving Aeryn Sun's life, is reluctantly granted asylum aboard Moya. His life on the Leviathan is tenuous; however, through shared enemies, he gradually becomes a grudging ally of the crew and develops an intimate relationship with Sikozu. This alliance proves short-lived, and in the series finale, Scorpius and Sikozu are ejected from Moya.
By the time of Farscape: The Peacekeeper Wars, Scorpius has reentered the Peacekeeper ranks and is given command of an armada. After instigating a war between the Peacekeepers and Scarrans, he loses his commission, with the grand chancellor ordering his command carrier destroyed. Scorpius convinces Crichton to construct a wormhole weapon to end the conflict and later witnesses the signing of the peace treaty.
In the Farscape comic book series, Scorpius abandons the Peacekeepers and becomes Commissioner of Warfare on Hyneria under Dominar Bishan, though Rygel quickly banishes him after reclaiming the throne. Scorpius later assists the Kkore in their invasion of the galaxy but betrays them upon realizing they are no longer the winning team. He headlined his own title - Farscape: Scorpius.
