Pi Day is a holiday held annually on March 14 (3/14) to celebrate the number π (spelled as "pi"), whose first three digits are 3, 1, and 4. Celebrations of the holiday typically involve wordplay with pie.
Similarly, Tau Day is observed on June 28 (6/28) to honor the number τ, which equals 2π (approximately 6.28).
