Netty was the iguana co-host of the proposed TV show W.I.L.D. In the pitch document, she is described as:

“A raspy-throated, sharp-tongued lizard, [the] lifestyles and cultural reporter. She's very streetwise and always has advice. You could do worse than listen to her.^[1]”

Netty graced the cover of People magazine on March 28, 1990 in promotion of the series. The puppet would later be reused as an amphibian named Tad in the Dinosaurs episode "Honey, I Miss the Kids."
