Charrids are an alien species that first appear in the third season Farscape episode "Daedalus Demands."

Thousands of years ago, the Charrids invaded Hynerian space, killing a billion of their people and eating a million of their children. Though the Hynerians were able to drive them away, the two species have been blood enemies since. However, the Charrids appear to have a general disdain for all species, including the Kalish.

By the third season of Farscape, the Charrids have formed an alliance with the Scarrans. Their brutish nature make them adept at serving in security and military roles, such as at Katratzi. The Charrid troops fall under the responsibility of War Minister Ahkna.

Some named Charrids include Zylar, Ralnaht, and Rahzaro.

Notes

• Each Charrid has a unique tattoo on their forehead. The Charrid's tattoo in "Mental As Anything" is "AP," for Farscape director Andrew Prowse.^[1]
