The Kalish are an alien species on Farscape, the most notable of which is Moya crew member Sikozu. Physically, they have orange-red hair and pale skin mottled with a diamond pattern.
They have highly efficient bodies and only need to eat ten times per year, consuming enormous quantities of food at each meal. They are able to shift their center of gravity, allowing them to walk on walls and ceilings, and they can reattach their severed limbs without surgery.
Although they are immune to more allergens than the average individual, their brains cannot tolerate translator microbes, so they must learn any language they want to understand. They are also very vulnerable to radiation.
Kalish society places strong emphasis on intellectualism and rationality. They lack a strong military, however, and have been conquered by the Scarrans, who force them to work as bureaucrats and technicians. The underground Kalish Resistance, members of which include bioloids, works to fight back against the oppression.
Following the end of the Peacekeeper-Scarran War, the Kalish are liberated from Scarran rule, but lacking purpose, they are hired back to perform the same work they were once forced into. During the War for the Uncharted Territories, the Scarrans are conquered by the Kkore, rendering the Kalish obsolete. The Kkore subsequently wipe out the entire species, with the sole exception of Sikozu.
