Unity is the "sacred surrender of two minds together." It is practiced among Delvians, though they can share Unity with other species. It first appears in the Farscape episode "Rhapsody in Blue."

Simplified, Unity involves giving up a piece of one's soul to another. This is often done with the intent to share knowledge, though it has the side effect of feeling like "ten years of really great sex all at the same moment," at least according to John Crichton.

However useful Unity may be, it is equally dangerous. Zhaan uses Unity as a "gift of spiritual energy" to bring Aeryn Sun back to life in "Season of Death," but this ultimately leads to Zhaan's own death. Zhaan previously used Unity to kill her lover Bitaal.
