Scary Movie is a series of broad film comedies spoofing horror movies. Beginning with 2000's Scary Movie, which was primarily parodying Scream, the subsequent sequels took broader aim at other then-recent movies or pop culture events outside horror, ending with Scary Movie 5 (2013). The movies also started a trend of "[Blank] Movie" parodies.
