Anne, Princess Royal (b. 1950) is a member of the British Royal Family. She is the seventh holder of the title Princess Royal and has been a princess with the style of Her Royal Highness since her birth.
Princess Anne attended the world premiere of The Muppet Movie, which was held in London at the Leicester Square Theatre. The Muppet Show Fan Club newsletter (Volume 2, Number 1) reported: "Luckily for Kermit fans, discretion was the order of the day -- the Princess did not kiss the Frog."
In 2002, Princess Anne appeared with Bruce McSpruce at an event for Save the Children's annual fundraiser, The Festival of Trees.
During the course of The Muppet Show, Jim Henson wrote out a list of dream guests and urged the writers and puppeteers to do the same. Among those potential guests on Henson's list was Princess Anne.[1]
