Nadya is a feisty prison guard who runs Gulag 38B in Muppets Most Wanted. She is very affectionate of Kermit, even having a dedicated shrine of him. Interviewed by phone in the "Inside the Gulag" featurette, Nadya identifies herself as the warden.

When asked in an interview if she was playing a Russian villain, Tina Fey responded:

“I actually play a Russian good guy, kind of. Who knows? Maybe she seems like the bad guy. But just before I called you I was on Skype with a dialect coach. And I was like, "Oh my gosh, this is for real. I have to try and do this!"^[1]”

According to Oh My Disney, Nadya's look was partly inspired by Anya Major's character in the Elton John "Nikita" music video.^[2]
