Muppet Togs was the brand name for two lines of Muppet clothes produced by Andover Togs from 1983 to 1985.
One of the shirts uses a pre-Muppet Babies illustration of Baby Kermit, as a tadpole. Similar proto-Babies designs were used in a line of Muppet Babies pajamas made by Lullaby Land.
Muppets
The Muppets activewear feature illustrations of Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy. The Kermit hang tag and some of the designs are illustrations by Daryl Cagle. One sweatshirt pictures a crossover between the Muppets and Muppet Babies.
Muppet Babies
The Muppet Babies line was released in 1983, and featured early versions of Baby Kermit and Baby Piggy before their designs were finalized. On these items, Baby Kermit is a tadpole, Baby Piggy is called "Baby Miss Piggy", and her Kermit doll appears to be a windup toy. Similar designs were used on a set of Muppet Babies pajamas by Lullaby Land. In 1984, Muppet Togs released a sweatshirt with the words "Baby Muppet Club".
