Meep is an alien creature from the Sesame Street book The Adventures of Grover in Outer Space.
As Grover imagines being a space-faring astronaut, he lands on an unknown blue planet, which he dubs "Planet Grover." On the surface, he encounters Meep, who takes Grover to their local school. It is there that Grover meets Meep's classmates and teacher, who all have the same, uniform appearance. Grover wishes to return the favor by bringing Meep back to Earth, but Meep declines, needing to go home and have dinner with Mommy Meep.
Meep and his alien kinfolk share a similar design to one of the Martians, but with arms and legs instead of the tentacle-like extremities of the inhabitants of the red planet.
