Jordan is a country in the Arab World in western Asia, bordered by Syria to the north, Iraq to the north-east, Israel to the west, and Saudi Arabia to the east and south.

The country has been host to Sesame Workshop's Sesame Street co-production, Hikayat Simsim, since 2003.

Sesame Street featured a Global Grover segment in the country where Grover learned how to make baskets from banana leaves.

Jordon's Queen Rania Al-Abdullah was honored at the 2005 Annual Sesame Workshop Benefit Gala.
