The Jolly Roger is the traditional English name for the symbol used on pirate flags, typically depicted as a skull and crossbones.
Jolly Roger maritime flags, insignia, and pastiches have adorned Muppet productions, both at sea and even on land. As Sherlock Hemlock once musically observed, it also resembles the stereotypical warning label used on poisons.
