Howlie is an owl who appears in Episode 1483 of Sesame Street. He spends an evening in Big Bird's nest and informs him of his diet of insects and his nocturnal activity, which unfortunately keeps Big Bird up all night.

The Howlie puppet later appeared as a background animal in "ABC's of the Swamp" and was recycled as Hoots the Owl's granddaughter, Athena.
