SCENE 2 WORM-TV presents some programming geared to the Grouch youth - a fairy tale. Timi signs as Oscar reads "Goldilocks and the Three Grouches" to Irvine. In the story, Papa Grouch (Oscar), Mama Grouch (Grundgetta) and Baby Grouch find their porridge isn't cold enough yet and go for a walk. Goldilocks (Mona Monster) comes in and breaks Baby Grouch's chair and eats his porridge. When the Grouches return, they're thrilled by the trouble she's caused and invite her to stay.

As Oscar forecasts various weather conditions across the country, Timi is pelted with various items, blown at by a fan and hit with snow. When it comes time for a word from their sponsor, "Miss Grumble's Yucchy Cream Pies," Timi ducks out of the way and Oscar is hit with a pie (which he doesn't mind much).
