	SCENE 1	Oscar reads Bob a joke from his Grouch Book of Riddles: "What did the rock say to the mud puddle? Nothing - rocks can't talk!" He tells Bob a different riddle about a rotten apple, but the punchline to it is the same as the last riddle. Bob thinks that the jokes aren't funny, which is precisely the point: Grouches don't like having fun. Oscar continues reading more riddles - all with the same punchline - irritating Bob further until he sounds like a Grouch himself.

	SCENE 4 cont'd	Humming "Oh, who is angry in your neighborhood?" to himself, Big Bird encounters an irate Bob because his door key is jamming and he can't get into his apartment. Big Bird reflects on everything he's learned thus far, and wonders what makes himself angry. He realizes he doesn't have any of the same problems his friends have today, believing he's just a “silly old bird” with nothing worth getting upset over, which gets him so mad he lets out a growl.
	Muppets	Ernie and Bert: Pretend to Be Angry — Ernie wants Bert to pretend to be angry, but Bert says that he can't because he has nothing to feel angry about. (First: Episode 0216)
	SCENE 4 cont'd	Maria takes a break from studying to ask the kids what makes them mad; Chris mentions getting hot and bothered while tying his shoes, and Debo dislikes cleaning his room. An angry Big Bird joins the group using ersatz swear words ("Golly gosh, gee whiz!"), feeling left out that he's got nothing to be angry about. The group points out that he's angry about something right now, which gets Big Bird out of his funk.
