Doc Bullfrog puppet built for the 2008 stage show.
Doc Bullfrog is the well-to-do owner of the Riverside Rest. He was the chairman of the judges at Waterville's first annual Christmas talent contest. He also helps wrap up the "happy ending" of Emmet Otter's Jug-Band Christmas by offering the Frogtown Hollow Jubilee Jug Band and Alice Otter a permanent gig singing and playing in his establishment.
Other versions
In the stage version, Tyler Bunch performed the puppet character in 2008, while Leo Daignault assumed the part in 2009. Steve Whitmire operated the puppet at Jim Henson's Musical World.
Bunch later performed the character again at the 2013 National Puppetry Festival and the 2015 reunion concert.
Jordan Brownlee performed him for the 2021 revival, where the character now serves as the narrator for the story. Here, he states his full name is Phinneas T. Bullfrog.
