Clone High is an adult animated sitcom that premiered in 2002, centering around high school students who were cloned from famous historical figures. Due to the controversy surrounding the show's depiction of Gandhi, its initial run on MTV was cut short, but it has since developed a cult following and was revived for the streaming service Max in 2023.
The show was created by Phil Lord, Christopher Miller, and Scrubs creator Bill Lawrence. It also shares several cast members with Scrubs (including Neil Flynn, who plays a janitor character on both shows).
Mentions
- The premiere episode of the revival series, "Let's Try This Again," features Principal Scudworth singing a parody of "We Didn't Start the Fire" to educate his newly unfrozen students on the last twenty years. One of the lines is "only reboots on TV," with a photo of Jen and Kira from The Dark Crystal appearing as one of the projected examples (though the line actually references the reboot series The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance).
