The Builders are the legendary creators of Leviathans on Farscape. Moya's Builder, Kahaynu, appears in the episodes "I Do, I Think" and "The Maltese Crichton."
They are an ancient race, responsible for constructing the Leviathans. According to Pilot,[1] Levaithans were originally built as "ordinary, biomechanical ships." The Builders later gave them a soul and "the ability to reproduce independently" and subsequently set them free into the universe.
Leviathans view the Builders as their deities and have an "intense, worshipful loyalty" to them.
